A frequent question I receive is how long will I have to be on Semaglutide?  That is actually a very good question.  Most patients start seeing really good results after 3 months of therapy.  Some patients see results sooner and some longer.  Once you reach your goal weight, we can do a trial of a maintenance therapy of Semaglutide. This is normally done with biweekly injections instead of every week at a lower dose than your last dose.  It has been shown in clinical studies that if you go off of Semaglutide 100% you will probably gain back the weight you lost.  For most patients trying to maintain their goal weights,  Semaglutide will become a long term medication.
